Introducing an Innovative, Multipurpose Product to Reuse Bicycle Inner Tubes

Boulder, CO July 23, 2009 -- IT Clips™ are an environmentally conscious means of using old bicycle inner tubes as tie downs. With more versatility than a standard bungee, this innovative new product offers a complete system to fulfill your entire tie-down needs. Moreover, IT Clips offer an easy and practical way to keep tubes out of the landfill.

As inner tubes deteriorate, IT Clips and IT Hooks can be reused. IT Clips offers tube manufacturers and/or bike retailers the ability to demonstrate their concern for the environment by helping customers reuse tubes, while at the same time making a profit. IT Clips can also be utilized for promotional purposes.

Millions of bike tubes are sold each year. This corresponds to the millions of tubes being discarded, disposed of as trash, invariably ending up in landfills. While some tubes are recycled as goods such as purses, shoes, and belts, this solution requires several steps to get the used tubes from the consumer to the manufacturer and back on the shelves. Consequently, the resulting products tend to be fairly expensive.

IT Clips provide a single-step solution for consumers to decrease their environmental footprint, while at the same time having an extremely user friendly/applicable product. Joining a set of IT Clips to an inner tube is simple. Cut the tube, thread it through the clips as you would a strap through a buckle, and latch the clips together. As an added feature IT Hooks™ can be attached to expand the application of the reused tube.

A virtually unlimited array of uses awaits the IT Clips and IT Hooks user. Replace bungee cords and tie-downs, creating any length simply by adjusting the clip on the tube or by cutting the tube to length. Bundle goods or equipment for storage.
